Admission and selection criteria

Candidates from any country may apply to the Master. However, there are differences between European students and Non-European candidates for the application process. In order to clear up the category a student belongs to, we recall that Erasmus Mundus considers as European students:

  • Students who are nationals from the 27 EU Member States (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, UK, Sweden, Bulgaria, Malta, Poland, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania)

  • Students who are nationals from one of the EEA-EFTA states (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway)

  • Students who have resided or carried out their main activities (studies, work, etc.) for more than 12 months over the past five years (preceding the start of the academic year) in any of the above listed countries.

All other students are considered as Non-European students.

The DKMK’s consortium has adopted a single admission procedure, which is administered and managed online. In order to guarantee the best recruitment possible, thus maximising the students' chances of success, the selection procedure is divided in two phases. The first aims to ensure that the candidate has the appropriate profile and required diplomas; it consists of filling in the Application form online and upload all required documents. The second step is an interview to ascertain whether the candidate show adequate communication skills. The aim of the interview, in English, is also to identify the most appropriate programme for the shortlisted students. This interview is organised with videoconferencing using standard equipment such as Skype or MSN Live.
