Statistical indicators related to the first recruitment campaign 2010-2012 (Students from Third countries)

Review

• During only 2 month (from November, 2009 till January, 2010), 854 candidates have applied to the Erasmus Mundus DMKM Master.
• 257 candidates were eligible.

Ratio Male/Female

Women constituted 16% of all applicants and 25% of the eligible candidates.

Origins of the applicants

• All applicants represent 68 nationalities
• Eligible candidates represent 46 nationalities

Average of all applicants

• The average candidate is 23-26 years old.
• The youngest candidate is 20 years old and the eldest is 46 years old.

Final decision

Among the 257 eligible candidates, the Consortium has shortlisted 77 for an interview. Then, the Consortium has decided the following:

• Main List:
  • 10 candidates
  • + 2 for Western Balkans and Turkey Window
• Reserve List:
  • 16 candidates
  • + 2 for Western Balkans and Turkey Window
• Non-scholarship holders: 34 candidates
• Non-selected students: 13 candidates

Selection process

• Shortlisted candidates (77) constituted 30% of the (257) eligible candidates
• Selected students (12) constituted 15,58% of the shortlisted candidates and 4,67% of the eligible candidates

Women constituted 31% of the shortlisted applicants and 42% of the selected applicants.
